Celebrating IWD: Learn the Stories of Remarkable Women

March 8th

Bond Students and staff are invited to participate in a "Purple-themed" Dress Down Day on Monday, March 8th, in support of International Women's Day 2021!

Women’s full and effective participation and leadership in of all areas of life drives progress for everyone. When women lead, we see positive results.

This year, the theme for International Women’s Day (March 8th), “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world,” celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the gaps that remain.

Bond students are encouraged to actively engage in conversations and experiences that equip them to question stereotypes and bias, celebrate women's achievements and get inspired by women heroes and leaders by learning the stories of remarkable women…

For decades, female NASA employees dubbed "human computers" helped the United States excel in the space race, but yet their critical contributions remained largely unacknowledged, not only outside NASA but within it.
