Bond Academy Updated Return to School Policy

January 17th, 2022

We have been updating our protocols and procedures for the return of in-person classes, to address the reality of the impact of the highly contagious Omicron variant, and the very high community numbers, including Support of Parents to Enhance SafetyBond Academy Updated Return to School Policy, Complete the Antigen Test Kits, Procedure to Drop off Items and Changes to Location for Pickup from Homework Room - Grades 1 to 3 Cohort.

Most of the updated or modified protocols will affect the students and staff. However, parents and caregivers have a significant role in minimizing the risk to your children and our staff. Parents are asked to review the information below. Your assistance will be instrumental in minimizing the risk of exposure to Covid-19 at Bond. Click here to know more about Support of Parents to Enhance Safety.

Due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in our community, rapidly rising ICU numbers and the ease of transmission of the Omicron variant, it will be essential for staff, students and parents to work together, in order to maximize the safety of our school community.

Please see the attached Bond Academy Updated Return to School Policy.

  • Complete the Antigen Test Kits

Students who still have the antigen test kits distributed before the holidays should complete a test before returning to school.

The Procedure to Drop off Items is also included, for any parents who are dropping off lunch or school resources for their son and/or daughter.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE LEAVING THE FOOD FOR YOUR STUDENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Please note, students are asked to bring their lunch with them at the start of the school day. Please only drop off items in an emergency (forgotten homework, books, lunch) on the drop off table and place the items in an empty square. Click here to know more details.

  • Changes to Location for Pickup from Homework Room - Grades 1 to 3 Cohort

With the new more contagious Omicron variant, having parents enter the front foyer is not viable. As a result, we are making changes and procedures to the Grade 1 to 3 cohort homework room location, to facilitate direct communication and pickup, without parents entering the school.
