Bond Library Newsletter – Winter Epic

In this period, during online learning, Bond students read 144 books on Epic! Students read the Counting the Stars - The Story of Katherine Johnson, NASA Mathematician.

We would like to share with you our First Library Coffee House, celebrations of Tamil Heritage Month, the Lunar New Year of the Tiger, and Black Canadian History Month in this Epic. We invited Guest Speaker Paralympian Aly Van Wyck to speak her journey as a professional swimmer. We did fundraising for Team Canada and Logan Lawrence's Art Exhibition. Student complete d their science experiments, designed their own Valentine's Day Cards, practicing Yoga in between studying and reading!

First Library Coffee House

At our First Library Coffee House, we prepared songs, dances, stand up, and more! An awesome afternoon highlighting our unique talents! Enjoying hot chocolate and treats as we listen to our friends perform! Thank you to everyone who contributed yummy snacks!

Library Guest Speaker Paralympian Aly Van Wyck-Smart

Aly was taking the time to speak with Bond Grade 6 students! Her journey as a professional swimmer is truly inspiring! Students loved hearing about her experiences at the Tokyo Games, and Bond appreciated her advice on setting goals! Go Team Canada!
