Bond Secondary Madness Ping Pong Tournament in Final

April 1st, 2022

Congratulations to our March Madness winner, Noah Anthonypillai!

The 2022 March Madness Ping Pong tournament has 32 participants. To participate the entry fee is one non-perishable food item, which was donated to our community's local daily bread food bank.

On March 30, 2022, Noah, our talented Grade 9 student, defeated Mr. MacSween in the final game of the March Madness Ping Pong Tournament.

"People should always keep donating food to help people in need. In this Ping Pong Tournament, you can play a little sport to support our community and have a lot of fun!" Noah said.

According to the organizer Mr. MacSween, Bond Secondary P.E. teacher, March was the month of the NCAA March Madness Basketball tournament amongst the top colleges in the United States. In recognition of that, he had structured a March Madness Ping Pong tournament for both the Bond secondary students and staff.

“Ping Pong is also a safe and social distancing sport during the pandemic. Many students and staff love it and enjoy the Ping Pong Competitive”, said Mr. MacSween.

The tournament was taking place over a two-week period with the first matches beginning Wednesday, March 2nd during the secondary student lunch hour (1:25 p.m.-2:25 p.m.).

We want to thank Mr. MacSween for organizing such a meaningful event!

Thank all the students and teachers for participating!
