Happy Lantern Festival 2022! Happy the Lunar New Year of the Tiger! Bond Families & Staff are celebrating the Lunar New Year's Eve & Lunar New Year with local communities!!
In the Year of Tiger, the Lantern Festival is February 15, 2022, which marks the end of the Chinese Spring Festival. To celebrate it, Bond Academy hosted a series of activities this week! Students had opportunities to explore Chinese heritage on campus. Some of them made wishes on the wall for the Lunar New Year and received cutie tiger lanterns as souvenirs.

On Sunday, February 13th, Bond hosted an outdoor Lantern Festival by displaying grandeur lanterns until 8:30 pm. With a strict safety plan, this event was open to the public which allowed community members to join us.

February 15th was also an optional red and green dress-down day at Bond in honour of the Lantern Festival."We're really enthusiastic about continuing the celebration," says Mr. Healey, Elementary School Principal at Bond Academy, "We look forward to the opportunity to do these events in a way that joins us together to celebrate our Chinese community and all their contributions, and of course, celebrate the Year of the Tiger."

The year of the tiger has come around again with a hope of prosperity, bravery, and strength! Secondary Principal, Mr. Davies, said, "On behalf of Bond International College, I wish everyone a Happy Lantern Festival, as we mark the New Year with good fortune!"
