In October, Bond Academy joined over 2000 Ontario schools in participating in Student Vote, a parallel election to the October 24^th municipal election. Since September, Grade 10 Civics students had been learning about government and the election process and had researched the candidates running in Toronto’s municipal election.

On October 20^th, these students brought democracy to the classroom, by organizing and implementing the Student Vote. This project empowered Bond students in Grades 7-12 to experience the voting process firsthand and cast ballots for the official candidates, in recognition of the values of democracy and responsible citizenship.
