Grade 3s Explored the Communities of the Past

During this term, the Grade 3s explored the Communities of the past in Canada. Students learned about early settlers and Indigenous communities that lived here before us. Their great works were presented in the school hallway.

They compared ways of life among some specific groups in Canada around the beginning of the nineteenth century, and described some of the changes between that era and the present day.

They demonstrated an understanding of some key aspects of the interrelationship between the natural environment, land use, employment opportunities, and the development of municipal regions in Ontario.
