"I thought this would be a great first trip for my Grade 12 Recreation And Fitness Leadership class. Rock climbing is one of those unique activities which many students know about, but could never imagine themselves doing. I selected this activity because I know this will be a very positive risk-taking experience for my class. One that requires courage, self-confidence, patience, perseverance, and self-control. Students are meeting challenges, overcoming fears, and in doing so, building self-esteem. " Mr. MacSween said.

Students had the option of climbing with professional instructors, or they could use the auto belay device, which was a tracking rope that automatically catches the climber once they release from the wall and slowly lowers them safely to the ground. This was a new (but fun) adventure for most Bond students. All of them took advantage of this opportunity to work and bond together, but most importantly, they enjoyed themselves!
