Bond U14 Girls' Basketball Team Won the Championship!

On December 5th, Bond's U14 Girls' Basketball team competed in the top four at the SSAF 2017-2018 Elementary Girls Basketball Championships in Brampton, had an amazing performance.

Our girls went to the final 4 tournament as a young talented team, but were heavy underdogs against defending champs Unionville Montessori School in the semifinals. Bond defeated UMS 29-20 in a very exciting semifinal game, and advanced to the finals to come face-to-face with the home team Tall Pines School.

The final was a fierce competition. After falling behind in the first quarter, Bond girls pulled together, showed grit and determination, and played their hearts out. Bond battled back from 10-0 and 11-5 early deficits, and tied the game 11-11, 14-14, 16-16, 19-19, 21-21, to 23-23 late in the fourth quarter, and then took the lead with 32 seconds left in the game. Bond's defence shutdown TPS 25-23 to seal the final victory.

"It was one of the most exciting games to watch. The girls did an amazing job. Well played! We are so proud of them!" said the Bond parents who came to cheer for the team.
