Bond Academy is supporting the Terry Fox School Run 2021! Our Goal is $8000. Till 2:00 PM, October 8th, the school has raised $ $10,973 in total, including cheques, cash and online donations for the Terry Fox Foundation. I will donate!
A Sea of Orange: Every Child Matters

A sea of orange was seen today at Bond Academy, everyone wearing orange, “Every Child Matters” Zoom profile pictures, 215 pairs of children's shoes displayed at the playground, and presentations about a brief history of Orange Shirt Day delivered twice...

On September 30th, all teachers, staff and students in Bond Academy wore orange and participated in activities for bringing awareness to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation/Orange Shirt Day, raising awareness of the tragedy of residential schools, and to honour the thousands of survivors and supporting the Indigenous people in Canada. At this time, $585.00 has been raised for the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, with donations still incoming.
Gr. 10 Class Mock Election Debate at Bond Academy

Ms. Luk and her Gr. 10 Civics class held their Civics debate today, September 17th, 2021. They prepared for and participated in this debate that showcased their persuasive skills, as well as their ability to respond to questions and counter-arguments from the other parties. After some detailed research on the political parties' platforms and determining how they aligned with their own beliefs and values, the students cast their vote on September 20th.
