Asymptomatic Testing for Ontario Students and Education Staff

Ontario COVID-19 assessment centres and participating pharmacies will offer asymptomatic testing for students and education staff from April 12th to 18th.
It is the “Mission No. 1” is to keep Ontario schools open. Education Minister said, Asymptomatic COVID-19 testing offered during spring break will help keep students safe. The testing will help ensure students can return to school after the break “with confidence,” Lecce said at a news conference Wednesday.
A Letter to Parent to Ensure Classes Return Safely

By following public health advice, we can all have a safe and restorative spring break and ensure classes return safely post break.
To support this period, the Ministry has developed a template letter to be sent to parents, to encourage everyone to adhere to COVID-19 health and safety measures within their community over the spring break. We encourage you to communicate this information to your school communities, including staff, students and families prior to and upon return from the break.

Educator Guide Announced for A Healthy and Safe Return to School

As we prepare to welcome students back to class following the spring break, the ministry has prepared this guide to support educators in providing a refresher for all students. This guide includes tips and strategies to support a consistent provincial approach to safe and healthy practices that help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and can be used to:
- develop classroom activities and conversations that support mental health and well-being; and,
- remind students of safe and healthy practices that should be followed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
It is important to note that as the pandemic response evolves, guidance may change accordingly. Educators must ensure that any additional directives provided by their board or public health offices are communicated with students.

Bond Elementary Online Class Tentatively Starting on April 8
April 7th
Toronto Public Health announced that all Toronto elementary and secondary schools will close and revert to online learning, effective today April 7th. As a result, Bond Academy school building will be closed starting on Wednesday, April 7th, 2021.
