Abigayle Voted to Be the New Class PM of Grade 5

“The new Class Prime Minister of Grade 5 is Abigayle! And our Deputy Prime Minister is James!” Ms. Ameree, Grade 5 teacher is pleased to announce the results on March 8 after over 100 Bond students/staff voted.

On Monday March 8, six candidates (Sadie, James, Victoria R., Abigayle, Victoria P., and Aleah) of Bond Grade 5 gave speeches to their class and filmed speeches were uploaded onto YouTube for the rest of the school to view. The candidates expressed why they would make a great class Prime Minister, highlighting their leadership qualities. They also discussed problems they see in the school and what they will do to change them.

Vaccine Prioritization for Education Workers

March 6th, 2021

The Province of Ontario continues to expand capacity and ramp up efforts under the phased roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan. Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce said in the Memorandum to Principals of Private Schools via email, "the province is moving forward with Phase Two of this plan which includes education and child care workers. Phase Two, which focuses on vaccinating populations based on age and risk is expected to begin in April and be completed by the end of July".

Celebrating Black History Month at Bond Academy

February 28th, 2021

Throughout the month of February, the staff and students at Bond Academy including elementary and secondary were celebrating Black History Month, by exploring, learning, recognizing, and appreciating the contributions of our African and Caribbean Canadians in Canadian history, society and culture, in the past and the present. Teachers and students also were referencing and acknowledging the contributions of Black leaders in the United States.
