On October 18th, for the first time, Bond hosted a University Fair at our campus. Bond have received very positive feedback from the university representatives, the parents & custodians and most important of all, our students. They  have told us that the presentations and the Fair are very informative, which will help them to make informed choices when time comes. The university representatives are also impressed by what they see at Bond and all of them said that they would come back to Bond next year. 

Thirty-three students from grade 10 and 11 and three teachers went on trip to Ripley's Aquarium on Wednesday, 17 Oct, 2018. The students were welcomed by the Ripley’s staff who provided instructions before the tour. After exploring the aquarium, students visited the gift shop to search for souvenirs.

On Thursday, October 11, 2018, the Gr. 10 Civics students, Gr. 11 Biology and Chemistry students, and Gr. 12 Business Leadership students visited York University to attend the 'Change Your World' conference. The students listened as inspirational speakers, who were also high school students themselves, spoke about taking a risk by advocating for issues that they felt strongly about in their own schools. Throughout the day, the students attended workshops hosted by various organizations such as the Toronto Zoo, Forest Ontario, Toronto District School Board, etc. The students left the conference with ideas on how they can become active, global citizens.

Bond Academy competed in the 2018 Somerset Fun Run at Milne Park in Markham on Oct 2nd, 2018. Hosted by Somerset Academy, this cross-country meet was open to students in grades 1 to 8 from schools within the Small Schools Athletic Federation.  This was Bond’s second time at the annual meet and our cross-country team was eager to do well after winning the 2017 Somerset Fun Run last year.
