May 2-8, Readathon to Support First Nations Students

Readathon will be hold from May 2nd to May 8th, 2021. Bond will invite students to read more books by indigenous authors. Students will participate in Readathon and raise funds to help northern First Nations find 50 great teachers for their classrooms and make sure all students are supported to succeed.

Bond students are invited to participate in the Teach For Canada Readathon from May 2nd-8th, in celebration of Canadian Children's Book Week. Students will be inspired to read more books by Indigenous authors, prompting important learning as they improve their reading skills. Their hard work will raise funds for an important cause, helping northern First Nations find 50 great teachers for their classrooms.

This is a great cause and something that would be great for Bond to support. And it is also imperative for international students to learn and to support indigenous causes, which will be mutually beneficial to their understanding of this integral part of Canadian culture and history.  They can also improve their reading skills through this activity. Commented by Mr. Phil Davies, Bond Secondary Principal.
