Prepare for return to in-person learning

February 8th, 2021

Schools in Toronto are planning to re-open for in-person learning on February 16th, 2021. Toronto Public Health (TPH) has important reminders as you prepare to return to school.How to prepare for return to in-person learning:

  • Daily screening

Starting today for everyone in your household complete the updated COVID-19 symptom screening for students and adults every day.

  • Get tested

If anyone in your household has one or more new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19, they should get tested as soon as possible. More pop-up testing sites will be made available this week through our testing partners.

  • Stay-at-home except to attend work

Continue to support stay-at-home measures in order to reduce community transmission. Lower transmission in the community will help to keep schools as safe as possible. Stay at home except for work, essential shopping, outdoor exercise or healthcare appointments. Limit contact outside of work to only the people you live with.

Feb. 16, Schools Resume In-person Learning

February 3rd, 2021

Today, the Minister of Education announced that in-person learning will resume for schools in Toronto on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 after Family Day. Schools under the authority of Toronto Public Health, which includes private schools like Bond Academy, are scheduled to return to classes following the Family Day Long Weekend! 

Until that time, schools will remain closed to most students and staff and remote learning will continue.

  • Elementary online remote classes will be closed

Please note that once we return to classes in the school, the online remote classes at Bond Academy Elementary will be closed.

Requests for Child Care Tax Receipt 2020 Start Now

Childcare Costs

Bond Academy includes the ‘Before and After School Program’ for our elementary students in your tuition fees.  For parents eligible to claim childcare expenses, a claim can be made for “educational institutions for the part of the fees that relate to childcare services”. Review the information at Child Care Expenses Deduction 2020. 

To assist you in applying for this tax credit, a letter outlining the percentage of the tuition fees paid that could be considered applicable as the childcare portion, is available through the Bond Academy Office.

To request a tax receipt for the childcare portion of your tuition,

  • #1. Please click on the link below and fill out the form;
  • #2. When finished click "Submit".

You will need to fill out a separate form for each child. Click on "SEND ANOTHER RESPONSE" and complete #1 and #2 again.
