Bond Academy continues with current daily schedule of remote learning for all grades including Montessori Casa, Kindergarten, Elementary and Secondary until further notice, starting from the first of week of 2021 since the Provincial government has extended remote learning until February 10^th as part of further Provincial lockdown measures.

January 12^nd, 2021

On January 12, 2021, the Province of Ontario declared a second provincial emergency, effective immediately. Some of the new requirements under the emergency include the following:

January 7^th, 2021

The ministry has revised the 40-hour community involvement graduation requirement so that secondary graduating students will not be adversely impacted by the ongoing challenges related to COVID-19.

For students graduating in the 2020-21 school year, the community involvement graduation requirement will be reduced to a minimum of 20 hours of community involvement activities. This recognizes that graduating students have had barriers to earning their community involvement hours last school year and there may be continued barriers this school year.

January 5^th, 2021

The literacy graduation requirement will be waived for all students graduating during the 2020-21 school year according to the Ministry of Education. The Online Practice Test has been launched, which may allow the opportunity for students to become familiar with the online test and its platform through EQAO’s online practice test.

The online practice test comprises two sessions, which include content from previous tests. The practice test is equivalent to the two sessions students will be completing during the live test. In addition, the practice test includes an introductory session that allows students to become familiar with the new online platform’s tools and functions.
