Secondary Assessment

January 28th, 2021

Bond Gr. 11/12 Mathematics and Science courses completed their Final Exam for Term 2 in January. Due to remote learning, Bond secondary ran only necessary final exams. Those courses, where exams could be replaced, had final assessments that were worth 30%. Those final assessments are including projects and/or assignment/s such as presentations, oral assessments, or special projects.

Remote learning can be difficult on a student's mental health. The Principal requested that teachers keep that in mind when determining final grades of remote learning. On the flipside, students are still accountable for their attendance and daily work.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is an international memorial day on January 27th that commemorates the end of the Holocaust. The term Holocaust refers to the genocide of European Jews by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945. The date January 27th was chosen to commemorate the date that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by the Red Army in 1945.  (Photos from https://pm.gc.ca/en)
